About the Company
Nature Designs Landscaping has been serving the landscape design, construction and maintenance needs of Central and North San Diego County for more than 25 years. All of our design plans are customized, detailed and professionally drawn. We build our Client’s dreams, making every installation a unique landscape design. Our artisans are full time employees of Nature Designs Landscaping; very seldom is our work is performed by subcontractors. Our ability to listen to our Clients and turn their ideas into beautiful, long lasting gardens and outdoor living spaces is what sets Nature Designs Landscaping apart.
Water Smart
Water conscious design and efficient irrigation are specialties of Nature Designs Landscaping and have been for over 25 years. We were one of the first landscape contractors to use drip irrigation and we still recommend this efficient method for irrigating most plant material. Our irrigation techs are Certified Landscape Irrigation Technicians by the California Landscape Contractors Association. The key to saving water is in the proper planning, construction and maintenance of your landscape irrigation system. Even with the current water restrictions, it is possible to have a thriving garden, including lawn areas, if the water is applied correctly and efficiently. We are experienced in the selection, planting and maintenance of drought tolerant plants including California native plants.
Sustainable Landscaping
Planting the right plant in the right place is the cornerstone of sustainable landscaping. Having horticulturists and an arborist on staff qualifies Nature Designs Landscaping uniquely to design, build and maintain a drought tolerant landscape that can be sustained over time.
Recycling
Construction debris is recycled at Nature Designs Landscaping. All removed plant material is returned to the company that makes our mulch. The material is baked and processed into properly pH balanced, decomposed mulch that is then reapplied back to the soil of our Clients to benefit the plants we tend. If it cannot be re-purposed on site, concrete is recycled. Lumber is re-used on site often, and recycled if not useable. Empty plant containers are returned to the nurseries for re-use. Our trucks run on bio-diesel fuel. If we can recycle it, we do at Nature Designs Landscaping.
